Township Patterns offers previously disadvantaged women the opportunity:
- to create their own jobs
- to work in their own environment, near their homes
- to gain technical and business skills.
Beautifully hand-made from natural fabrics – hessian, hemp or cotton, township products range from high-quality shopping bags of all shapes and sizes to kitchenware items, cosmetic packaging and conference bags. For example, 10 000 delegates' bags were made for the 2006 World Diabetes Congress in Cape Town.
All products are biodegradable, and the range is expanding. The products are expanding both in range and in availability – you can get them from an increasing number of outlets in South African and abroad.
