The African Queen Studio is a small owner run business, which specializes in creating unique high-end quality handmade products. The interior decor products are all made from recycled natural materials, and are therefore very eco-friendly.

We transform natural waste into unique eco-decor pieces. Our environmentally friendly lamps and chandeliers are made of natural dried seedpods, collected locally by the unemployed, and individually strung into exquisite pieces, which inspire and delight. They need no electricity or power tools to create, minimal skills are needed to produce them, and they encourage one to see the beauty nature has to offer us. The gold is lying in front of us, we just need to bend down and pick it up!

Our Alpaca Fiber Art also grew out of re-using waste from the alpaca wool production. The paper thin framed pieces are each individual works of art, made by myself as an artist.

Our products were well received at "Ambiente, Frankfurt Germany and at "Design Indaba" this year.
