SAFeAGE (South African Freeze Alliance on Genetic Engineering) is committed to ensuring that consumers are made aware of the dangers and threats of GMO's. We are futher lobbying Government to adopt the precautionary principle at the very least, and at best, seek alternate, more sustainable methods of food production and farming. We would further like to impose a moratorium on all new imports and releases of GMO's until such time as sufficient, independent testing of the effects of GMOs in food and farming are proven safe.
