Design with a philosophy in mind: sustainable regionalism.

Sustainability means the ability to maintain something over time, economically and ecologically. This could refer to a household, a business, a venture, a town, region, country or structure. In present day terms it means utilising as little as possible resources, particularly in terms of materials, water and energy. Regionalism refers to the geographical area of an activity or concern. In other words, sustainable regionalism refers to the ability of a specific activity in a given geographical context to sustain, maintain and survive economically and ecologically over time.
