Moonprint

Ronel Nel

Moonprint Productions is a Section 21 non-profit organisation and the brainchild of the company's two Directors, Charlene McKenzie (owner and manager of the music restaurant, Steak ’n Ale in Centurion) and Ronel Nel (previously the marketing and media manager of the Aardklop arts festival).

We have launched the Moonprint Concerts initiative in co-ordination with established companies such as Oppikoppi, SAMusic.co.za and FORR (Fellowship of Rock ’n Roll).

Our aim is to carry out the message of a greener earth to the people of South Africa through the mighty medium of music; to make them aware that we are hurting the earth but more importantly what each and every person can do to help. We are excited to have launched a ‘green portal’ via the first of our projects, the Moonprint/Spore op die Maan one day music festival (held on 18 April 2009 at Steak & Ale, Lyttelton, Pretoria.

We envisage that this concert will be the first in a series of music concerts and other affiliated clean-up and awareness projects which we will be hosting as part of our mission.

If all goes according to plan, we will be travelling with the concert to other festivals such as Oppikoppi, Innibos, KKNK, Grahamstown, Aardklop and more and also to communities such as Atteridgeville, Mamelodi, Eersterust and others. Each concert and its actions will differ, depending on target market and artists available.
