In 1992, Ikamva Labantu (The Future of our Nation) was launched as a non-governmental and non-profit organisation, with the vision of creating self-reliant and sustainable Community Based Organisations responsible for facilitating positive social change. The organisation serves several sections of the population, including children, youth, adults, families, seniors and the disabled by efficiently delivering its four core services, namely primary health interventions, education & skills development, food security & enterprise development, and land & building development. Ikamva Labantu works closely with its communities and builds partnerships with existing local organisations to maintain community ownership and direction.
