The Clothing & Textile Environmental Linkage Centre (CTELC), funded by Danida and the Department of Trade and Industry, is a project aimed at strengthening the link between the clothing industry, retailers and cleaner textile production in South Africa. The objectives of the CTELC are to establish and maintain a comprehensive repository of environmental information relating to the textile pipeline and the Clothing & Retail sectors; raise awareness of environmental issues; increase knowledge of these issues; and to market opportunities for environmentally friendly products.
