Boschveld, situated in the bushveld at Bela-Bela, Limpopo, supplies indigenous free range eggs to Gauteng and beyond. The chickens are fed a 100% vegetarian diet with no added hormones or colorants. The eggs are collected by hand daily from the laying nest boxes and delivered to the pack-station on a mule cart.

The hardy and colourful Boschveld chickens are a cross between three indigenous breeds. The hens wander around freely from morning to night and are out at first light to scratch, stretch, flap and dust-bath.

Boschveld Chickens enjoy the "five freedoms": (1) freedom from hunger and thirst; (2) freedom from discomfort; (3) freedom from pain, injury or disease; (4) freedom to express normal behaviour; (5) freedom from fear and distress.

The eggs are fully accredited with BRC (British Retail Consortium) as well as Globalgap – a Global Farming Standard. Boschveld eggs have a full HACCP policy.
