Animal Rescue Coalition aims to improve and accelerate the provision of welfare and rights to animals and to ensure that such welfare and rights are upheld. The organisation endeavours to bring alliance partners, which may include members of the public, animal welfare organisations, animal care professionals, animal product distributors and producers, and any other organisations that have an interest in the welfare and rights of animals, into a collaborative interaction by means of communication and coordination. We are also actively involved in initiatives pertaining to welfare such as sitting on the Horse Welfare Committee in terms of the OBP horses, the current amendment to the Animal Protections Act and the rescue and re-homing of many abandoned, neglected and abused animals.
