Sun and wind are good for more than catching a tan or blowing away dandelions. Greenpeace would like them to be used to power South Africa

You can help by signing the petition at www.usememore.co.za to ask government to increase it's ambitions! Renewable energy can do so much more!

Did you know that the amount of solar energy that reaches the planet in one year is double the energy contained in all the Earth's coal, oil, and gas resources combined?

Did you know that wind power already supplies 2.5% of the world's total energy demand?

Now, it makes you wonder why we aren't using the Sun and Wind more in South Africa.

Investing in the Sun and Wind would not only be a powerful job creator, but would also stimulate new in industries in South Africa, and help us tackle runaway climate change.

The Sun and Wind are just begging to be used more. They need government to give them a decent chance.

You can help! Go to www.usememore.co.za and ask government to double its renewable energy ambitions.

South Africa has some of the world's best renewable energy resources. Act now, and let's start using Sun and Wind more!
